|GIS / IT Environment|
Each GIS / IT Environment has various database and GIS technologies, and has different business rules for the creation and placement of their assets relative to the cadastre, and different connectivity requirements for their assets. Additionally, each has different versions of the database and GIS software, with different tools for the export and import of their data.
These combinations make it impossible for Spatial Tapestry to write readers and writers for each environment, hence the need for SAM to implement a 'Plug-In' strategy.
Spatial Tapestry has extended SAM / SAE to virtually all GIS sites by supporting FME Objects and the DBCoordList interfaces.
The inclusion of Shape and Mif / Mid files means that SAM / SAE can easily handle pilots and also service the TASMail work where clients mail their data via CD / DVDs for upgrade at our offices.
